About Us
What does your business do?
We are an Internet marketing company that promotes only local businesses in CNY.
Who founded the business?
Wally Kline and LouAnn Christo founded the company with the vision to promote local businesses in CNY. We both had some different ideas and combined the best of those to form CNYPage.com. It is our conviction that CNY has a vast array of experts, products, and services to offer the CNY community. We believe that if more consumers and businesses purchase more local products and services, our economy would be much stronger. It is our passion to help CNY businesses with their online-marketing needs.
How do you do that?
We have developed a Web site that has a very fun front page, it is a collage of local business images and logos
that link directly to the businesses' Web sites. The main part of our site consists of a keyword search engine that allows a consumer to type in what they are looking for locally and find the businesses that meet that search criteria.
Does it cost anything?
We are offering all businesses in CNY a FREE listing in the business search engine that includes business name, address, and phone number. For businesses that would like to advertise, we are offering space on our front page for a minimum investment of $400 per year, which includes four grid boxes for name/logo that link directly to Web site and listing in the business search that includes business name, address, phone and fax number, Web site link, and direction link. Businesses can purchase more grid boxes on our front page for $100 per extra grid box.
Why CNYPage.com?
It allows CNY consumers to find what they want to buy locally on a site that eliminates the clutter of other search engines and focuses solely on CNY businesses. We want consumers to find what they want with one click, one call, or one visit.
Who Should Advertise?
Any business large or small who would like to sell their services or products in CNY can advertise on CNYPage. com. It allows the smaller businesses an equal playing field with the larger businesses. It allows the larger businesses to show community pride by supporting the local economy. We priced the advertising to make it very affordable to all businesses, big and small. For as little as $1.09 a day, a small business can have a year?s worth of online advertising with two direct links to their Web site as well as added exposure in our marketing campaign. Look at what we did with the inside cover of The Book of Lists; we included all advertisers to date. That is exactly what we want to continue to do in 2007, promote our advertisers.
How do you plan on promoting
your Web site?
We have committed to marketing our site for 2007 in the Central New York Business Journal and the New Times and other media. It is our goal to have every business in CNY included in our local business search engine. With our marketing campaign, we intent to include our advertisers? logos, we not only want to promote our site, we also want to promote our advertisers. We intend to promote our site to consumers using outdoor, radio, and television as well as print. Once we populate
our site with businesses, we need to tell consumers to use our site to find local products and services.
What else do you offer
businesses?
We have a Specials Section on our site that will allow businesses to promote monthly specials and deals to the consumer. We also encourage our visitors to sign up to receive company-approved e-mails to the consumer about special
offers. We have a monthly newsletter to our advertisers with the latest online-marketing trends and advice along with our newest advertisers to the site. We also are offering our advertisers our consulting services to help them review revise and update their Web sites. It is our goal to be the local online-marketing experts for our advertisers.
What kind of response
have you had to date?
The response has been overwhelming. Every single person we have talked to LOVES the concept of only promoting LOCAL businesses. We have been told that the concept of ?buy local? floundered for awhile and that this is just what is needed in the community. It allows businesses to show a sense of pride in where they live, work, and play, by taking an active role in supporting the local economy and truly buying local products and services.
